The Beer Sheva Municipality i- team has been operating with the support of the Bloomberg Philanthropies since January 2018.
We are an internal-external consultation team that assists the municipality and the city to generate change by resolving significant challenges in the face of local, national and global trends via use of data and in-depth research and new ideas and methods. We do so while collaborating with stake holders possessing relevant knowledge, interest, and authority in contemplative, ideation, and implementation processes.
Human Centered Design
Our work is based on a Human Centered Design methodology. This is a multi-dimensional, mainly qualitative, participatory action research approach which focuses on the needs and viewpoints of the people influenced by the challenge: residents, business owners, municipal employees, and many others. They are invited to participate in the initial stages of the research and ideation process via which they develop a sense of belonging, ownership and responsibility for finding high-quality solutions for the issue at hand.
